Sorry for the timming of this but my brother who live in the Richmond, Va Area is in bad need of a home health care nurse who care run a ventalator. They are having a real hard time finding anyone who can come in and help on a regular basis. So I am asking if anyone knows anybody who might be able to help out Part time full time a couple hours a week anything would help out. If you know of someone or can help yourself please email me at
[email protected] and I will pass along the personal info. Thank you all So very much.
Sorry to hear about your brother. My prayers are with you and your family. I, unfortunately don't know anyone in that area.
Insurance will normally set this up. Ask the doctor for a referral.
Possibles:
Mid Atlantic Home Health
Bon Secours Home Health
I make no promises on the quality of service, I have never used them personally though I have heard about them in good terms.
Thnaks Brio That might help not sure what service they are using now. And the Dr. have recommend it
The doctor obviously ordered it but normally the doctor's staff will have suggestions on which services to call. This seems to be something that would require more than a CNA service (though some CNAs may be able to provide this).
CNA = Certified Nursing Assistant
LPN = Licensed Practical Nurse
RN = Registered Nurse
I believe (but am not 100% sure) that a ventilator requires an LPN or above. CNAs usually do sitter services, sponge baths, assistance in moving from chairs to beds, wounds requiring light dressing, can give certain medications. LPNs can take machine readings, give most medications, supervise CNAs, etc.
Hope that helps more.
