Blizz is planning on making some pretty major mana regeneration changes, as per the forum topic below:

The bottom line is that we'll be seeing a lot more "OOM!" messages, methinks.  Casters and especially healers should read this and take note.

Also note that these changes are far from final and 3.1 hasn't even hit the PTR yet, so it's possible that the changes themselves could be changed or completely removed before release.

Guess as a Pally healer I will be worthless to any group, instance raid.

Joy, aster is completely built around spirit...

I'm sorry but this seems like a terrible move, healers are already insanely short supplied, making them harder to play will just make the situation worse.  At what point is blizzard going to make the game just not require healers?

Well they tried for the most part with Death Knights to lessen the need for healers.  (Nothing against those who rolled them)

The big thing for me is now you can only use one potion for the fights too.  Really long boss fights not kara but Gruul or some of the others with huge waves that one potion use sucks a ton.

This is actually a nerf to crappy DPS.

DPS will now need to actually have skill (and do DPS)... ;)

Otherwise, healers oom, tanks die, raid wipes..

Thanks for making me feel better, Ulti.  I would like to think every wipe in a group isn't always the healers fault.

I would say I'm responsible for at least half of all wipes.. even in groups I'm not in :)

If someone else died by the bosses hand, tanks fault.  If the tank died first, healers fault.  If the pull was bad, no matter who pulled, and everyone dies, tanks fault.
