It's still speculation, but there's enough evidence to back up the theory that they will BE their own racial mounts. A new spell was added to the latest Beta build called Running Wild for Worgens that applies a mounted aura, is learned at level 20 and takes 1.5 seconds to cast. The text for the spell is "Drop to all fours to run as fast as a wild animal".
If the rumor is true, then that's pretty damned cool. But I just KNOW there is going to be a shitload of Alliance QQ if this is true because Horde will be getting two more mounts (epic and regular goblin trikes) while as a result of this they wouldn't get any.
A few of us are going to roll Worgen druid alts on another server, and run around together as total newbs without looking anything up. That racial ability would be AWESOME!
I don't know what server yet, though, because Hemmi's all worried that I'd be rolling alts over there so I could twink our newb droods as soon as they're created. Just because he's right doesn't make him any less irritating. :P

Post the server when you know it. The release looks like it'll be happening about the same time I'll be visiting with my family for a couple weeks, so I'll be behind one way or the other when I'm finally able to play it, but it'll be fun.
thats cool because when wow came out the taurens were designed to be their own mount as well and they didn't continue with it and i think it would have been a pretty sweet idea.
Taurens just wouldn't look right running on all fours, whereas the Worgen look like they're designed for it.

Hiih, Madam, Silver, and Durmage already have an Alliance alt called "Wolves in Disguise" on the Antonidas server. Sounds like a plan for all of our Worgen alts, unless Hemmi wants to throw a fit. :P
