Title: New Community Site
Post by: Dave on December 04, 2010, 10:57:19 AM
The WoW Community Site (http://us.battle.net/wow/en/) has added a lot of new features, such as keeping track of guild perks (http://us.battle.net/wow/en/guild/durotan/red%20thunder%20clan/perk) and rewards (https://us.battle.net/wow/en/vault/guild/reward), along with the status of the achievements (http://us.battle.net/wow/en/guild/durotan/red%20thunder%20clan/achievement) that unlock them.  The character sheet (http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/durotan/ultimusbible/simple) has a lot of cool functionality, too; my favorite is that you can mouse-over the colored bars below the raid icon in the raid progression area at the bottom of the screen and see how far along you've come with both the normal and heroic versions.  You can also switch to the advanced view (http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/durotan/ultimusbible/advanced) to get more detailed information about gear, gems, enchants, and glyphs, and an audit of improvements that you COULD have made but haven't yet.  They've also put a bunch of race and class lore in the game section (http://us.battle.net/wow/en/game/), along with a newb guide.

<edit>

I like the new character sheets so much, that I've changed all of the links to my characters in my sig to point to the new ones instead of the armory.   :D

They should hire you to do their PR, Dave.  =D

Thanks for keeping me updated on these things, I don't have time to look.

They've also finished the character rendering on this site.  Not only does the picture on your character page match the way you've customized your character in the barber shop and show the equipment you're actually using, but the site also generates forum avatars for all of your toons.  I've used these customized images in all of my sigs at dkpsigs.com (http://dkpsigs.com).
