Public General Discussion / Re: Free Battlefield Game
August 01, 2009, 09:52:22 PM
I just installed Allied Intent Extended 2.0 for Battlefield 2 again to mess around on.

It's a great mod for the game, plenty of maps to play on with the Imtheheadhunter map pack.

AIX is a single player mod that changes around the weapons you play with, makes the game much more fun on single player. Although sometimes it's not as intense as the online play it sure did make me enjoy the game more on single player.

You can command squads to attack / defend and they actually listen to you. Or you can create a squad and let the computer be the commander, now this has it's ups and downs......the bastard will continue to give you orders. Which is just as good as it is bad because he'll let you know which flags are about to be attacked by the enemy. He will also follow your command on artillery / supplies / vehicle drop as well as UAV. (artillery if it hasn't already been used by him to defend a flag that is, which is just as bad as it is good because he will drop it around you if the flag is being attacked and you arrive). This is also bad because unless you destroy enemy artillery, he will drop it on you anytime you go to take a flag.

And just incase you're lazy :

Equipment Manager

    * When enabled from the Interface Options menu, this feature will allow players to store sets of equipment, easily swap between saved sets using hotkeys, and pull items directly from backpacks or bank slots (must be at the bank to equip inventory from the bank).

Taken off of wotlkwiki.info which is a good source of info about the game.

This is a promotion that they are teaming up to do. It has a recruit friend option to earn more chances to win but I figured to let you all recruit who you want instead of me using up all of the recruits for myself and being greedy.

You automatically get an in-game pet after registering, not the very second you do it but eventually. There are chances to win laptops, keyboards, headsets, mice and maybe other stuff that I don't feel like clicking back over to look at.

Once you sign up, they have Warcraft Gallery at the top of your screen when you're logged into the website. Watch all five videos to earn an extra 125 tokens per day. The tokens are used to enter you for a chance to win once every 15 minutes.

Whether you do this or not is fine by me, for those that don't like these things. But I see nothing wrong with it. They also have options for Pepsi product buyers to get promotional coupons and the like.

I'm not much into the yelling type of singing. The sound is great and all, but the way he's singing just isn't my style.

I'm more into the older albums of Metallica, Megadeth, and other groups like that from the 70's - 90's.

Some of the newer "Alternative" stuff is ok, but it can't compare to those older albums.

Ride the Lightning / Master of Puppets / And Justice For All will always be my three favorite albums.
