I don't even want to think about it.  April 15, 5 miles north.  3 killed, E1.  April 27, 6 killed 9 miles east.  E4.  That one took off a tiny bit of siding of our house.  But we were blessed.

So far, 250 confirmed dead, 400+ missing just in the state of Alabama.  Working in insurance, I'm getting daily stories of horror and of hope.

But the "Bama gang" made it through safe.  Some of my work acquaintances in North Alabama didn't.  Friends of friends, relatives of friends didn't.  All of my friends made it through though a few are injured.

So keep the South in your thoughts and send some vibes our way.

Roll Tide.

Oh, the best part was explaining where we were all from and what we were doing there.  Then came the funny looks.

Another fun fact (in my head): he was a dramatic actor and was cast by the Zucker/Abraham/Zucker team as the dr in Airplane because they wanted a well known and serious actor to add 'oomph' to the satire.  And they made a convert to comedy.  He never went back.  :)

Yeah, I've been getting some as well.  "Problems with your mount" "Account is under investigation" etc.

Well, does Brittany Murphy's husband count?  Five months after her death, he passed away this week.  He was technically a celebrity.

I hate when that happens... Did you try turning your monitor upside down?

Could have been a blow to the supraspinatus that runs along the back of the shoulder sorta... <shrug>

Same feeling here, Vit.  When the announce said that little NFL tidbit, my first thought was "WTF" and then the second thought was "What the heck are your teammates going to think of you?"  But yesterday, the news was saying that it was numb and he had no feeling.  Still curious.

Gilbert did very well considering the situation.  A freshman who has been undertrained since they were focusing on McCoy this entire time, he came in flustered and easily scared.  Then he got a confidence boost and started playing exceptionally well.

Roll Tide ...  :)  National Champions x 13.

It was an interesting game and great to watch.  For the bama highlights: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQRZUlV_u_k

But Texas made them work for it, even with McCoy injured in the first quarter.  Gilbert stepped up and held hard.  Not bad for a freshman quarterback.  And if he's McCoy's replacement, then Texas is going to be a force for a few years running.

Thankfully, Bama will also remain a force since we do not have many seniors going out.

Wow, Texas almost lost.

And GA Tech pulled through in the last minutes.

Yesterday was a day for cardiac arrests across the nation!  ;)

Bama was on last night.  McElroy played like he had never played before.  Ingram did well, but so did Cody, Richardson, Maze, Woodall, Jackson, etc., etc.
