the word on the street is the for the select blizzcon/WWI/arena winners, beta invites will be released thursday, if there are releasing closed beta invites already... my assumption is that WOTLK will def be out by xmas... all of the talent trees have been released for each class all the zones are done and the dungeons are done.  they are makin tweaks on end raid bosses,  and talent/skill affects.  from what i understand wotlk is passed the 80% completion stage to the ability of the blizz game testers.

D3 might be out in 2010

There is also no monthly subscription for D3, so there's really no reason people can't play both (which is what I plan to do...system requirements permitting).

It's a game to play when I've only got 15-20 mins or so... when I can't concentrate on WoW because something is going on and I need a pause button available.  It's never replaced each other. Diablo II did not replace EQ and vice versa.  Titan Quest has never replaced WoW.  It's just something else to do at times.  :)

I'll be with WoW (and RTC) at LEAST until I've grown tired of the next expansion, and most likely long after that as well.  I have a hard time letting go of MMO's.  Especially given the time invested in my characters.
