Where I am at in NY we were mostly spared... only 4 inches of rain and wind reached low 40s (which is tame for us, as we are battle hardened to the wind by South Bay of Lake Champlain).

In our village here, we had some flash flooding that turned our High Schools field into a lake, including some flooding indoors and some roof damage.

In a low spot we had about 6 feet of water by two houses.....

The Mettawee river which is an inflow to the Champlain canal is 10 feet above where it was a day ago, and the champlain canal has left its banks (Very unusual as it is controlled by spillways...)  The locks are jammed by debris including about a dozen large round wrapped hay bails.

Nearby Granville NY, has access in and out closed due to flooding and the undermining of bridges....

VT got hit harder with more rain....  The mendon gap which takes people from Rutland VT, through the ski areas of Kilington and other mounts, to the other side of VT, has had Route 4 wash out.  Which is the only east-west road in the area...  Wilmington VT (an emerging small city) is mostly underwater... and west rutland has become a lake.  The several historic covered bridges of VT have all been destroyed (from what I've heard).

Lake Champlain has risen 4-5 feet but below this springs historic flooding, although the lake is very slow to drain and could cause serious problems in the spring after the winter thaw.

Lake George has risen above its banks and flooded the heavy tourist area.  Most the docks on the south end have been destroyed, and shops are currently flooded.  This will flood Ticonderoga as the La Chute river connects Lake George with the much larger Lake Champlain.

Everything else has probably been on the news...

Still waiting to hear from my parents/grandparents in Maryland since the last I heard from them was right before Irene hit Friday night/Saturday morning when I emailed them to make sure they were prepared.  I'm thinking that they haven't written back/called because their power is still out (judging by a power outage map online), so I'm trying not to get too worried.  I'm almost 100% sure they are fine physically, but I'm not completely assured that there isn't house damage.
