Studies

I wonder if there have been any studies done to look at people's personalities and trits that lend them to choose horde or alliance over the other.  Being a purveyor of the human kind, i would be interested in looking at that. 

Any thoughts or anyone that knows of anything thats been done around this?

Doubt it on any study.

Would imagine alliance of course draws the people who are more into a traditional fantasy world where they are the glorious good guys, while horde is kind of players who want to be a little different.

Honestly it kind of depends.  There's a lot of elf lovers out there and a lot of paladin lovers out there.  Since alliance originally had the cornerstone on the market is likely why they ended up with a lot larger population.

On the flip side if you look at past RPG's, humans and elves are always the highest populated race.  At least for every RGP that I've played these are always the most highly picked races.  Probably because we relate to them the most.

But as for a study, if you find one you're in luck.

I went horde because Apoc was horde and it made more sence for roommate to atleast be on the same side.

to be honest my first toon (for about 5 min) was a night elf rogue purly based on my WC3 experience of the night elves being OP in long lasting fights.  Due to the fact that everyone in the NE start zone was a bunch of dirt bag candy A$$es i went with my other favorite, taurens.  in the classic beta i found that the shear size and look of taurens was much more to my liking anyway as a barbarian/warrior player in other games.  the last selling point was warstomp.

Also playing WC3 and knowing the arthas storyline, it was a fact that the humans were the bad guys.  my personal opinion is that NE and Taurens should have made thier own faction and said F everyone else.

my very first character I think was a gnome mage because I thought it would be funny.  This was during the last night of the classic beta on apoc's account.  I can from the starting area to a city then then got on the tram thing and ran to another town, later I found out that I ran like an entire continent.  I think since then they fixed it so you can't do that.  Then I poped out in some town and saw the programmers having fun and killing everything as dragons and watching everyone get one shotted.  It was a good time :)

Like papa I was introduced to WOW by apoc, and like apoc the tauren was my favorite charc, although my highest first level charc was an orc shaman.

I can't even get into the alliance side whatsoever,  the highest i went was level 6, and shortly after i delete them. The only reason I have played an alliance charc was my daughter wanted to try playing wow and that's the charc she like (i should have never showed her alliance lol) and a friend of mine who is new to the game is on the alliance, which he must hate me lol.

I remember seeing the look of the draenei and thought it was cool looking and the horde should have had that and they should have gotten the blood elves, but now I don't like the draenei, they run funny lol
And blood elves are not that bad either.
