Dual Specs -- Coming "Soon"

Looks like it'll be a lot more complicated/involved than most of us thought. I like what I've read, though.

I can see where this will be great for the people that respec often. Espicially from healing to dps or healing to tank. For me. Not that interested.

For me as a Warlock I can have a raid spec and another solo/grinding spec. Or maybe 2 raid specs, one for burst(destruction) and one for long duration fights(affliction).
For those that pvp, especially dps, then they can have a PVE/PVP spec.
Hybrids depending on class can have tank/heal specs or heal/dps specs, though that means 2 sets of gear to support both.
It's going to be interesting to see how it all works out :)

For me it'll mean that I can finally make myself a bit useful in dungeon groups. My spec is far from the best in terms of providing DPS, but it's one that I made for myself for all the solo stuff I do in the game, and it's one that I've always had fun with, taking a lot of good bits from the first two trees. As such, I've never wanted to respec to up my effectiveness in dungeons. Going back and forth between specs would have become far too expensive fast.

If this finally goes in, I'll be able to keep my "fun" spec and not be a dead weight in groups. Huzzah!

Plus, getting an entire new set of glyphs to go with your second spec is a really, really nice touch.

Just waiting to see how many problems this new tool will cause. I'm a skeptic only by past performace. Would like to see the clean up the bugs that are still plagueing us before they start something on this big of a scale...............we'll see.

The only thing I see as a benifit for me with dual specs is one for groups/raids and one for solo'ing. Aside from that, it really has no intrest for me. I don't need to worry about switching out gear cause most of what I have can go to any spec I run with. Those who have to run around with another set or two of gear, are the ones I have pitty for. That's why it's imparitive that Blizzard makes it to where we can put a larger replacement bag in the first bag slot. Just my 2 cents worth.

I will never tank but having a better DPS set would be great. I seem to do okay soloing in the heal gear I have, just change weps, but wouldn't mind killing faster.

They need to do something with that bag no matter what other changes they incorporate.

I am looking forward to it. Both Madam and Black will be able to duel spec. One thing though, there will be more competition for gear since I can roll for DPS AND heal. However, the combining heal power with spell power will help.

I read a cool idea to go with what you said zan.

I read in a post a loooong time ago someone said they should make two extra mini character screens that show the gear and stuff. Then put those icons next to the bag ones and have you carry the items in those slots. So then when you want to switch gear you can check the character screen and it will switch the gear you want. They said two extra. But even one would be great. I know this can be done with mods but if blizzard incorperated it into another character screen bag thing that'd be cool too,

also, as papa I carry healing/dps gear on me at all time anyways no matter what spec. But I'm really excited for this change. It will make things much easier for me.
