Free Portal through Steam

In case some of you have been living under a rock, Portal is one of the best puzzle games of the past decade, and it's available FREE from Steam until tomorrow.  If you haven't played it before, now's your chance to grab it free and give it a try.

Your character gets a gun that creates portals, and you have to use this gun to get through a series of tests (you're a human labrat) while being antagonized by the AI that's running the show.  Great stuff.

ZOMG, go watch this video RIGHT NOW, and see what you missed out on.  They've got a demo version called "Portal:  First Slice"  that still lets you go through the first chunk of the game for free.  Full game used to be 10 USD, but now it's 20.  You'd probably be better off getting the Orange Box for 30 USD and also getting Half-Life 2, two sequels to that, a stand-alone level, and Team Fortress 2.

EDIT:  I didn't even realize it, but Portal 2 was announced earlier this month.  I guess that explains the new ending.
