Losing a lot of good ones the past couple years, it seems.

84 years old and was acting pretty much up until the final days.  Nobody could deadpan silliness like he.

A great Canadian actor ;-) Fun fact - his brother was a Minister of Parliament in Canada for many years.

Another fun fact (in my head): he was a dramatic actor and was cast by the Zucker/Abraham/Zucker team as the dr in Airplane because they wanted a well known and serious actor to add 'oomph' to the satire.  And they made a convert to comedy.  He never went back.  :)
