Diablo 3 Launch Day

So I get home from work... servers offline / down.  WoW login servers hammered . . . . .


Servers up nearly 2 hours later....  servers shutting down in 15 minutes.. Aaacckk!! 

Oh and: "Diablo III Servers are Full."  "Queuing".

Pretty much par for the course for a Blizzard launch.  They either fail to anticipate the demand that'll be placed on the login servers or just don't feel like shelling out for the extra power they'll need the opening week because it'll be relaxed in weeks to come.

I'm also sure it doesn't help matters any that you can choose which area you want to connect from (The Americas, Europe, Asia) so a lot of people are hammering login servers for other areas when their own is down.

I managed to get in just now to get a quick 20 minutes before bed.  I've a feeling I'll like it.  And when I can't connect I always have MoP beta or, failing that, Tropico 4.

As of 5:30 CST the servers are up and stable. Took me about two minutes to get in and play  :)
