Ruin Battlegroup lag

For the past 2-3 days I've been getting latency well up past 800 and in some cases over 1000 as opposed to my normal ping of 200-250, making the game pretty close to unplayable in some cases.  I was certain it wasn't my ISP since I wasn't having any problems in any other internet areas, and was also sure it wasn't the server itself since very few others have been having any problems.

After doing a bit of research, it seems like the problem is stemming from a connection that ALL servers in the "Ruin" battlegroup share.  I can get reasonable pings on pretty much any other server (granted I haven't tried them ALL) BUT any server that's within the Ruin battlegroup.

Unfortunately it's been hard to find where the problem is, precisely.  I'm in Amsterdam having these issues, but there are also people in Hawaii, Canada and the mainland US also having similar issues (in the same server battlegroup) so it doesn't look as if it's a transcontinental line that's been cut or something (thank goodness).  If anyone else is having problems I urge you to get into the tech support forums and post your information so that the Blizz tech team can get more data to help them sniff out the problem.  Playing has really been more of a frustration than anything since the start of the weekend. :/

sorry to hear that.  I am not having any problems

I moved, and my ping went from 20-30 to 15-45 :(
Osche is taking it easy in Thunderbluff and is letting Kgoe do all the work these days:

LOOK! It's the only stats that WoW Armory Shows Correctly...

Still an ongoing problem for me and many others.  A quarter of the posts in the tech forums are about latency now.  Yesterday when I tried to play the ping was steady at around 1300 for the entire half hour I ATTEMPTED to get things done.

Blizz tech support is as you would expect it to be...minimal.  They totally dismissed the issues a bunch of people in Ontario with Rogers cable were having because "nobody has posted any complaints in the past day or so".  Nobody had posted any more complaints because 1) it was a weekend and posting on the tech boards on a weekend is futile...they aren't there, and 2) the blues hadn't given any indication that the problem was supposedly fixed...just that they were "looking into it", so there was no reason for anyone else to post anything until they had heard differently.

What a bunch of tools.  I'm really, really hoping this is a simple case of a connection being temporarily broken somewhere between the battlegroup servers and an outside jump so that it'll be fixed without having to read their condescending "advice" anymore.
