Not that I'm an advocate of using Caps all the time, but did you ever stop to wonder why it's considered rude/impolite?  They're just bigger letters.  There is no sound.  No volume.  If anything it should be better on the eyes since the letters are larger and therefore easier to read.  Yet all of us (myself included) just can't tolerate it when someone types all in Caps.  The human psyche is a strange, strange land.

at work I talk to a lot of drafters since i am in a satelite office we talk over a chatting program.  All the drawings are done in caps so they talk to me in caps, so I don't really even notice it anymore.

Funny picture,,,, and good point Beng.  But wouldn't that picture have made more sense if the women had the bullhorn yelling at the man?

And why is that?  Like I said, there's no volume.  Words don't become "louder" just by making them bigger.  It's all in our minds and, as I also said, I'm not immune.  I don't like it either.

It's actually a lot harder to read capital letters.  And that's a semesters worth of typography talkin lol.
